A Little Wild – or perhaps very wild!

I haven’t always been a cute stamp lover but for some unknown reason ‘ A Little Wild’ by Stampin’ Up! has won me over – completely.  Each of the images in the Stamp Set is adorable  – how can anyone resist that elephant, bear and lion?  Whilst initially it might seem as if this stamp set could only be used on children’s cards, it is so versatile for anyone who likes a ‘bit of cuteness’ – and isn’t that all of us at some time.

This card is such a simple card that you won’t need too many details.

A Little Wild by Stampin’ Up! card– all the details

Card Base: 8″ x 4″ Pumpkin Pie Cardstock

Crumb Cake Layer: 3-7/8″ square, embossed using the Pinewood Planks Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder.

Tip: Prior to running your Dynamic Textured Embossing Folder through your Big Shot, lightly spritz the cardstock with water.  This will ensure a crisper more defined embossed result.  This extra step is required for these types of embossing folders as they have the extra dimension.

Pumpkin Pie Layer:  2-5/8″ square

Whisper White Layer: 2-1/2″ square.

Whisper White Cardstock scrap paper to stamp lion image in Basic Black Archival Ink (as we are going to watercolour the image).

The image is coloured using Aqua Painters and ink pads, the mane is Pumpkin Pie and Lion is Crumb Cake.  Not sure how to do this, check out this water colouring YouTube video by Stampin’ Up!

Both Lion images were die cut using the matching Framelits which makes this project super easy, no ‘fussy cutting’ required.  You can save 10% off this stamp set if you purchase the bundle (stamp set and framelits).

Last weekend I attended team training.  I always enjoy team training days whether it is for my team, the Crafty Paper Bees, or for the larger team Paper Angels.  When you become a demonstrator, there are so many options available both locally and centrally to build your skills whether it be crafting or on the business front.  Here is just one of the many cards that we created on the day and it showcases the images from A Little Wild by Stampin’ Up!
