Hi, I’m Ann Lewis from Ann’s PaperWorks, and I’ve been helping people discover the joy of card making on the Sunshine Coast since 2012.
Whether you’ve never picked up a stamp before or you’ve dabbled in papercraft over the years, my classes are designed to make creativity easy.
My in-person card making classes are held on the Sunshine Coast, just minutes from Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Buderim and Caloundra.

Many people tell me they arrive feeling a little nervous but leave wondering why they didn’t start years ago.
No Experience Needed
One of the biggest myths about card making is that you need to be artistic.
You don’t.
My classes are designed for beginners as well as experienced crafters.
Everything is explained step by step, with plenty of encouragement along the way. You’ll never be left wondering what to do next.
There’s no pressure to be perfect. In fact, some of the best laughs happen when things don’t quite go to plan!
What Happens at a Class?
Classes are held in my comfortable home studio on Kawana Island, just 15 minutes south of Maroochydore on Queensland’s beautiful Sunshine Coast.
Each class includes carefully prepared projects with all the cutting and measuring already done for you. You’ll learn techniques, try new products and leave with projects you’re genuinely proud of.
Class numbers are intentionally kept small, giving everyone plenty of individual help and making it easy to ask questions as you learn.
It’s relaxed, friendly and full of conversation, laughter and creativity.
More Than Just a Craft Class
One of the unexpected benefits of card making is the friendships that develop.
Many of my regular class members started by coming on their own. Before long they were chatting, sharing ideas and encouraging each other. Some have been crafting together for years.
Creativity has a wonderful way of bringing people together.

When I joined Stampin’ Up!, I’d never made a handmade card before.
I had been a scrapbooker looking for something different.
I understand exactly what it’s like to be a beginner because I was one too.

FAQs
Do I need experience?
Not at all! Most of my classes are taught step by step, making them perfect for beginners. I’ll guide you through each project, and you’ll be surrounded by a friendly group of crafters who are always happy to share a tip or lend a hand. It’s a welcoming environment where everyone learns together.
What do I need to bring?
For most classes, you’ll need a basic craft kit that includes adhesives (Stampin’ Dimensionals, tape runner, Mini Glue Dots, Multipurpose Liquid Glue and Tear & Tape), a ruler, pencil, eraser, sharp paper snips, and a paper trimmer with a scoring blade.
You’ll find a full list of recommended supplies in my Basic Class Kit guide.
Don’t worry if you’re just starting out. Most beginners don’t have these items yet, and I don’t want that to stop you from giving card making a go. For an additional $6, I’ll provide everything you need to complete the class, so you can simply turn up, relax and enjoy the experience.
What if I make a mistake?
The wonderful thing about card making is that mistakes are simply part of the creative process, and most of them are easy to fix. I’ll happily show you how. My classes are relaxed and supportive, so there’s no pressure to get everything perfect. In fact, some of our biggest laughs come from the little “oops” moments!
How much do classes cost?
Most classes are around $35, depending on the projects and techniques included. Full details are provided when each class is advertised.
Can I come on my own?
Absolutely! In fact, many people come to their very first class on their own. It doesn’t take long before you’re chatting, sharing ideas and making new friends with people who enjoy being creative just as much as you do.
Of course, if you’d like to bring a friend, you’re very welcome to. Better still, if you bring someone who’s new to my classes, you’ll both receive a special gift, because crafting really is more fun with friends.
What ages are your classes suitable for?
My classes are designed with adults in mind, but younger crafters are very welcome if they’re able to participate comfortably in the class and enjoy the projects. If you’re thinking of bringing a younger family member, just get in touch beforehand and we can chat about whether the class will be a good fit.
Where are my classes held?
My classes are held in my home studio on Kawana Island, conveniently located on the Sunshine Coast and only minutes from Maroochydore, Mooloolaba, Buderim, Mountain Creek, Warana, Wurtulla, Birtinya, Sippy Downs and Caloundra.
Many of my class attendees travel from all over the Sunshine Coast (and even further) to enjoy a relaxed afternoon of creativity in a friendly, welcoming environment.
