I know it has been a little while since I gave this blog some love. I have been missing chatting with you on this forum. I really enjoy creating fun fold cards so I thought this card was perfect to reconnect with you. I think this could be one of all-time my favourite designs. It is super easy project to assemble and I have a video to share with you to make it even easier. This card features two new Stampin’ Up! products Joy to You Stamp Set and O Holy Night Designer Series Paper (DSP). This project is perfect to dive into your stash.

Directions for the Accordion Card

Suitable for casual stampers – 1 hour to complete.

2 sheets A4 Night of Navy cardstock (C/S);
2 sheets Basic White C/S;
1 sheet 12 x 12″ O Holy Night DSP or two 6 x6″ DSP of your choice;
Scrap Basic White Cardstock for tag, plus coordinating ribbon and twine.

Measurements for Accordion Card

  1. Card Base Night of Navy: Four 3-7/8” x 11-1/2” or 9.8 cm x 29.5 cm – Each strip scored into three 3-7/8” (9.8 cm) sections (check video for how to do this).
  2. Basic White Card Stock: Six Basic White squares 3-3/8” x 3-3/8” or 8.5 cm x 8.5 cm
  3. Light blue star pattern O Holy Night DSP: Four squares 3-3/8” x 3-3/8” or 8.5 cm x 8.5 cm
  4. Coordinating Designer Series Paper O Holy Night: Six squares 3” x 3“or 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm
  5. Basic White C/S – four squares 3” x 3“ or 7.5 cm x 7.5 cm

I featured this project in a joint Facebook Live with Christine Josti, from Mail Something Pretty from the US. The directions for the Christmas Accordion Card start at 28.21 mins. But this Live is worth viewing from the start as Christine demonstrates a fabulous card also featuring the Joy to You Stamp Set and the Fragrant Forest Stamp Set. And yes, we were having as much fun as it looks. We can’t wait for our next Facebook Live at the end of October.
