Stampin’ Up! Capture the Good Stamp Set Scrapbooking Layout
This layout is a little different for me but I love it – especially the ‘timber work in the side borders. The Stampin’ Up! Capture the Good Stamp Set is featured. It was originally designed as the 2019 December Scrapbooking kit for my ‘From Picture to Page’ Creative Class held on the first Friday of each month. If you can’t make the class, I have included all the ‘how-to’ details below.
Ingredients:
Stamp Sets: Stampin’ Up! Capture the Good Stamp Set, Waterfront Stamp Set, Artisan Textures Stamp Set (background stamping), Birch Background Stamp Set, High Tide Stamp (birds)
Cardstock: Bird Ballad DSP, Whisper White (two sheets 12″ x 12″ and some scraps for the Old Olive camera and sentiment), Calypso Coral (2 sheets A4 + scraps) Pool Party (1 sheet + scraps) and Old Olive (scraps).
Ink Pads: Gray Granite (the timber finish), Crumb Cake (sponging)Memento Black, Calypso Coral, Pool Party and Old Olive
Accessories: 3/4 ” punch, sponge daubers, Basic Black Stampin’ Write Marker or Blends
The ‘How To’:
Two strips of the striped Bird Ballad DSP 11″ x 2″; two strips of Calypso Coral 3″ x 11-3/4″ (mine is 12 inches cause I used some retired 12 x 12 cardstock); 5 strips of 1/2″ (1 cm) x 11-3/4″ (29.7 cm), cut into 2-3/4″ timber strips (stamp with the Birch Background Stamp before cutting).
Each of the timber strips has added faux nails using the Black Stampin’ Write marker.
Photo Mats:
Pool Party – one 4-1/8″ x 6-1/8″ mat; two 4″ (10.2 cm) mats
Calypso Coral – one 4-1/4″ (10.5 cm) x 6-1/4″ (15.7 cm) mat; two 4″ (10.2 cm) mats
Stamping:
I stamped the five camera images (Stampin’ Up! Capture the Good Stamp Set) in Memento along the bottom of the double page layout. Then I used the stamps from the Waterfront Stamp Set for the trees, mountains (second generational stamp – stamping without reinking), sand, and water.
Background randomly stamped in Pool Party, Old Olive and Calypso Coral.

This is a great layout, perfect for holiday and family snaps but really is so generic you can adapt it for most photos. Love this colour scheme, Calypso Coral, Old Olive and Pool Party.
Kit layout: four 4″ x 4″ photos and one 4″ x 6″ photo.
As always this layout looks better in real life, than in the photo.
