Sale-a-Bration and the new Mini Catalogue
Happy New Year, my crafty friends! January is always a big month with the start of Sale-a-Bration and the release of a new Mini Catalogue. Valentine’s Day Card featuring Alphabet A La Mode Dies by Stampin’ Up!

I actually don’t have any Valentine’s Day Bundles – I don’t send out enough cards celebrating Valentine’s Day to make it worthwhile. So every year I look at repurposing what I already have to create my Valentine’s Day card. Stampin’ Up! stamp sets do have some nice sentiments that could be used for this purpose but when I searched, none popped out.
But I couldn’t wait to use the brand new Alphabet A La Mode Dies to be released Thursday 5 January 2023 as part of the new Stampin’ Up! Mini Catalogue (January -April). They are perfect for cardmaking as they are tall and fine. And they will work equally well for scrapbooking.
Valentine’s Day Card Details:
Poppy Parade Card Base: 8-1/4″ x 5-1/2″ (21cm x 14 cm).
Basic White Front Layer: 3-5/8″ x 5 ” (9.2cm 12.7cm).
Fancy Flora Designer Series Paper (I used plain Calypso Coral background for this card) 3-1/2″ x 4-7/8″ (8.9cm x 12.4cm); Using White Shimmer Embossing Paste, mixed with a drop of Poppy Parade reinker, and the spotted mask from the Basic Pattern Decorative Masks (On Sale during the Last Chance Sale), create your background. Allow to dry (10 minutes).
Basic White C/S 6″ x 3″; adhere 6″ x 3″ Adhesive Sheet to the back of your Basic White C/S; Die-cut your Alpha letters or numbers.
Stamp sentiment from Special Moments Stamp Set in Poppy Parade onto a scrap piece of Basic White C/S and fussy cut (as per photo), Adhere using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Assemble the card per photo.
N.B. The Alphabet A La Mode Dies and Fancy Flora DSP are not available until 5 January 2023.
Card Insert
Basic White C/S 5-1/4″ x 3-7/8″ (13.3cm x 10cm).
Punch heart shape (Heart Punch Pack) from a scrap piece of paper; use the negative image (not the punched heart piece) as a template to colour the heart using Poppy Parade ink and a Blending Brush; stamp your sentiment from Special Moments Stamp Set.
