Wishing You Well Stamp – a sleeping giant of the new Christmas Catalogue
It is that time of the year when we start thinking Christmas – well if you are like me, that is. I know there are still three and a half months to go but I have some holidays coming up so it is time to start at least thinking of Christmas. Probably what always gets me in the Christmas mood early is the upcoming release of Stampin’ Up!’s Christmas catalogue (5 September 2018). And this year (as always, I know), it is full of amazing products. I think especially the Designer Series Papers in real life are amazing – unfortunately, the catalogue cannot capture the shimmer, the shine and texture of these amazing papers. But my real favourite is the Wishing You Well Stamp Set.
This month’s Global Stampers Challenge is to feature ‘my favourite new Christmas catalogue product’. Me picking a favourite is always difficult (especially when there are so many fabulous papers). But as soon as you look at the Wishing You Well Stamp Set you will just fall in love the dimensional bow. It is soooo gorgeous, in fact, many don’t look beyond the bow to see how gorgeous but simple the rest of the images are.
What I especially love about this stamp set is its simplicity and versatility – wonderful for quick and easy Christmas cards but the images and sentiment apply all year round.
I chose to do a set of four cards to showcase the versatility of this set. I featured these cards yesterday at the Crafty Paper Bees Crafty Party (team training day). It was such a good day – it always is when you are getting together with your crafting friends.
Tips and Tricks – Wishing You Well Stamp Set
The colour scheme of the Wishing You Well stamp set is Coastal Cabana, Soft Sea Foam and Bermuda Bay.
To create the ‘spotty’ card I used the centre from the wreath to create the background. I loved how this card turned out. I also wrapped the ribbon around the sentiment to add a bit of interest. the soft bow finished this card off nicely.
The note card base is 6-3/4″ x 3-3/8″ (17.2 x 8.5 cm). Soft Sea Foam layer is 3-1/4″ square and the Whisper White stamped layer is 3″ square.
For the landscape card, I stamped the first flower bunch in the centre and then the two on either side which made it easier. The two outside images stamp partially off the Whisper White cardstock. The top Whisper White panel is 5-1/2″ x 2-3/4″ (21cm x 7 cm).

This is another set that I fell in love with as soon as I saw it! Thanks for sharing your ideas, might have to CASE them for a class 🙂
Thanks Alicia. It is a favourite.
These are gorgeous Ann! The spotty background reminds me of the Eclectic paper we had last year. This is a great idea for lots of different colors.
Thanks Robbie. I did love how these came together. Will probably change them up slightly and the colours completely for an upcoming class.
Your cards are stunning. My wish list just got longer.
Thanks Fiona. I find it so easy to use this stamp set creatively.
What a beautiful set of cards !
Thanks Valerie. I am in love with those colours at the moment.
