What is so special about the Healing Hugs Stamp Set?
Healing Hugs Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up! is my favourite no-fail stamp set from the new catalogue. What makes it no-fail? Any crafter can use this stamp set, either a beginner or an expert, and you will be impressed by the result. It is so easy to stamp with! Check below as to why Distinktive stamps are so easy to use and achieve amazing results.
And I love this colour combination of this card – Mango Melody, one of the new Stampin’ Up! colours, and Pear Pizzazz. The small background ink spots are stamped in Pumpkin Pie. I selected this colour combination by using the new Colour Coach. The project was also inspired by the project on p. 110 of the 2018-19 Stampin’ up! Annual Catalogue.
Tips and Tricks
Use the Tailored Tag Punch to create the flag end of the sentiment banner.
The sentiment was heat embossed after stamping using Versamark Ink.

What are ‘distinktive’ stamps?
These specially made red rubber stamp sets, with a patent pending, which add monochromatic dimension and artistic flair to your stamping. The flowers and leaves on this project have just been stamped once using a single colour. Impressive, heh? There are five different Distinktive stamp sets in the new catalogue – Healing Hugs, Bokeh Dots (p.153 #148113), Stylish Christmas (p.101 #146773), Seize the Day (p.157 #146813) and finally, All the Good Things (p.151 #146558).
There are so many possibilities with Distinktive Stamps. You can stamp in one colour as I have done with this project. You can also stamp and colour in the image (see my Heartfelt Blooms card) or layer ink on the stamp with a sponge dauber.
For best results, apply ink to the stamp using only the middle of the ink pad. Inking a stamp along one of the edges of an ink pad may cause ink lines to appear in the final stamped image.
