Easy Mother’s Day Card

For today’s Mother’s Day Card project, I wanted to use one of my favourite products and everyone else’s favourite product from the 2016-17 Annual Catalogue – Floral Phrases Stamp Set.  I am getting better at keeping it simple.  In addition, I am changing up some of my colour combinations and enjoying some of the more traditional ones.  I like it when I use different colours – in fact, since becoming a demonstrator I have hardly used Sahara Sand at all, preferring Crumb Cake.  But for some unknown reason, I am moving away from Crumb Cake to this colour.  Sometimes being time-poor does make you think out of the box.  This project was also my Onstage Local swap card.

How did I make this Mother’s Day Card?

Measurements:

Night of Navy card base: 8-1/4″ x 4-1/8″; Sahara Sand layer: 5-1/4″ x 3-7/8″; Whisper White layer: 5-1/8″ x 3-3/4″

Tips and Tricks:

I lined up the stamp on all four sides of the card using Stampin’ Up! Grid Paper but easily could have used a Stamp-a-ma-jig to make sure it was stamped evenly around all four sides.  I added dimensionals between the Sahara Sand and Night of Navy layers.

A Pearl was placed on each flower to add a bit of bling.  The Whisper White layer was sponged with Sahara Sand.
