Paisleys & Posies – Global Stampers Challenge
I grew up with Paisley prints being in fashion. And they are making a big comeback – everywhere I look I see Paisley – paisley pyjamas, paisley tablecloths, blouses and quilt covers. And I love it all, so I was very excited to see the Paisleys & Posies Stamp Set and the Petals and Paisleys Specialty Designer Series Paper in the new Stampin’ Up! Christmas/Holiday catalogue.
The Global Stampers Design Challenge for this month is Paisleys & Posies featuring Rich Razzleberry, Mint Macaron and Delightful Dijon.
To colour the stamped images, I used our Stampin’ Write Markers and I was really surprised by how smooth they coloured. I will be using these a lot more in the future – usually I resort to watercolouring or blender pen.
‘Stepped Up’ version Paisleys & Posies
I have to admit that I created the ‘stepped up’ version of this card first. I needed a special birthday card for a friend. And then I decided to create another card as I knew I would be giving that card away. This time I kept it very simple (well, at least very simple for me). Not sure which card I prefer. Which one do you like better? Leave a comment to let me know.
The following post will contain some additional cards from other demonstrators from around the globe to further inspire you.
