Crafting Forever stamp set thank you card

Special Thank You Card – Part One

Good morning everyone.  Now every now and then you need a hand.  And recently, a demonstrator friend of mine, Zena, helped fix my website that had been playing up.   Fixing websites is certainly not one of my strengths and speaking to the experts did not help at all. Contacting Zena solved the problem as she was amazing.  My website is fixed and the glitch has gone (fingers crossed).

I wanted to send a special thank you card, to decorate her mailbox and not her inbox, including a little something to show how much I appreciated her help.  I worry about sending a handmade card to another demonstrator especially when it must have the WOW factor (just me trying to ‘overachieve’) …..  Zena, like all demonstrators and just about everyone else, will just love anything handmade and made with love.  I know I would.  This is the card I created for her.

Crafting Forever Stamp Set

I am starting to use some of the new releases (at this stage for demonstrators only – love this perk) from the new 2017-18 Stampin’ Up! Ideas Annual Catalogue.  The Catalogue is released on 1 June.  Crafting Forever (#143958) was one of the stamp sets that I received for attending OnStage Local (think mini convention).  Stampin’ Up! definitely does spoil us and of course, we deserve it ….

I am so happy to have this stamp set.  The stamp set includes three ‘antique’ pens but all on one stamp which did create a little bit of a dilemma as I needed to separate them somehow.  Should I cut the stamp up into three parts to make it easier????  That probably would have been the easier option but I couldn’t do it.  Do you ever cut your stamps up?

I was wracking my brain to come up with something a little different with the pens and then it suddenly came to me – we have all these lovely cursive stamps, all with beautiful fonts and one of the nicest is the Suite Sentiments Stamp Set.

I love the sentiments contained in the Suite Sentiments Stamp Set and am very disappointed that it is not carrying over to the new catalogue.  But there is good news, as this stamp set (clear mount) is now on sale for only $29.75

Was this card easy to create?

Yes and No…. My thank you card  was ‘made with much love’ and at times an equal amount of frustration.  It was challenging because I had to use a Stamp-a-ma-jig to accurately position the stamp (not a favourite tool of mine but you couldn’t have created this card without it).  Lots of my customers use the Stamp-a-ma-jig all the time and find it super easy.   Masking the stamp with washi tape was another technique I used.

The easiest bit was decorating the envelope and the inside of the card – both with the same pen border.

The Crafting Forever Stamp Set is the new Angel Policy stamp set.  This set will not be released to the general public until 1 June.

Tomorrow I will post a quick tutorial.

Ann, the colors are great on this card. I just ordered it today since I have used the few I pre-ordered for class sets. Wish I were close enough to join in on some of your classes.
