Ann’s PaperWorks Urban Underground DSP March Kit

Urban Underground DSP with a touch of Love Notes Framelits

I love it when I can use my Stampin’ Up! products slightly different to what was intended.  My favourite DSP (Designer Series Paper) from the Occasions Catalogue is most certainly Urban Underground DSP with its two single-sided designs with brushed silver foil designs.  The Love Notes Framelits Dies (more Valentine’s Day themed) are easily teamed with what could be considered a relatively masculine patterned paper.  The colour combination of Delightful Dijon (I know I would prefer Crushed Curry), Basic Gray, Basic Black and Very Vanilla is just divine and so versatile.

This kit is my featured March kit for my ‘From Picture to Page’ Creative Class on 3 March 2017.  For further details can be found here.  Check below to see a list of all my upcoming classes.  RSVP essential.

The April ‘From Picture to Page’ Creative Class has been rescheduled to 31 March 2017 as I am away on 7 April at Convention in Sydney.

How did I create this Urban Underground DSP layout:

Measurements:

Urban Underground DSP: 10-1/2″ x 7″; 10-1/2″ x 5″;  10-1/2″ x 12″

Embossed Delightful Dijon: 6′ x 4″

Scraps of Whisper White, Delightful Dijon, Basic Gray and Basic Black

Tips and Tricks:

I did use the retired ‘On Film’ Framelits as I can’t part with them being so versatile for memory keeping.  The little camera is so cute.  The two small stamped sentiments are also from a retired stamp set, one of the first Project Life sets, Remember This.  I created the pop-up banner using the Window Box Thinlit Dies.  But these could easily be fussy cut.

The Hexagon Embossing Folder provides an amazing impression when you use the instructions on page 46 of the Occasions Catalogue – spritz lightly with water and don’t forget to remove the second of your Big Shot’s plates as this is an extra thick folder.

To learn how to make those gorgeous pop up banners, check out this short ‘how to’ Stampin’ Up! video (it is near the end of the video).
