Everyday Hero Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!

The stamp set for the Everyday Hero in your life

Stampin’ Up! is all about stamp sets and every new catalogue is full of them.  I make a list of my favourites but this one, Everyday Hero, certainly jumped out for me.  I couldn’t wait to create a card using this set.  It is pretty versatile as it could be used for mums and dads but also for that special person in your life that goes ‘above and beyond’.

Details of my Everyday Hero stamp set handmade card

Basic Black card base: 8-1/4″ x 5-1/2″;  Tangerine Tango layer embossed with the Hexagon E.F. 1″ x 1-1/2″; Pacific Point layer stamped in Basic Black  (stars, flares and WOW) 2-3/4″ x 1-1/2″; Daffodil Delight layer 2″ x 2-1/8″ stamped in Tangerine Tango; Real Red layer embossed with the Hexagon Dynamic Embossing Folder 2″ x 1-5/8″;  Whisper White Layer 1-5/8″ x 3-7/8″ buildings stamped in Basic Black Archival Ink.  The image of the buildings is then re-stamped in Basic Black onto a scrap piece of Sahara Sand Cardstock, fussy cut and adhered using Snail adhesive.

Tips:

  1. My superhero from the Everyday Hero stamp set was stamped in Basic Black, fussy cut and then coloured, some with Watercolor Pencils and other sections (cape and suit) with Stampin’ Write Markers.
  2. The sentiments were stamped onto Whisper White scraps, fussy cut and adhered using Foam Adhesive Strips.
  3. The WOW was coloured with a Pacific Point Stampin’ Write Marker.
  4. To make the building stamp reach fully across the layer, I stamped twice on the Whisper White and three times (middle, left side and right side on the Sahara Sand).
