Sitting There Stamp Set – Sneak Peek from the new Stampin’ Up! catalogue

Sitting There Stamp Set

After many days of tech hell which I hope to forget soon, last tonight I sat down and created two cards using two new products from my Stampin’ Up! pre-order.  The opportunity to pre-order from a new catalogue is one of the perks of being a Stampin’ Up! demonstrator – and one I love.

When I first received these two sets,   Sitting There and Layering Love, I wasn’t really sure that they would become a favourite.   But after last night’s play, I love them.  For those who have been following my Facebook page over the past few months, you will have realised that I have been significantly side-tracked with technology issues.

I had forgotten how therapeutic stamping can be.  After last night’s play, I have now regained my sense of humour and feel relaxed and refreshed.   This card was a CASE of card I fell in love with by Lydia from Understand Blue.  I placed my own spin the card and it was such fun to play with this set which stamps like a dream.  It reminds of the Sheltering Tree Stamp Set released last year – so versatile, fun to use and easy to stamp with.

Doesn’t this card leave you feeling peaceful and relaxed?

The products used in this card will not be available until 1 June but you can certainly place your order now so that you don’t miss out.

Sitting There Card

What do I love about this card?  This card features the new In-Colors – Emerald Envy, Flirty Flamingo, Peekaboo Peach and Sweet Sugarplum (did not use Dapper Denim but will soon).  Not only do I love the actual new in-colors but aren’t their names just delightful?

Rather then using Versamark Ink, I stamped the main image in White Craft Ink which is super moist making it easy to heat emboss with.  The cushions are coloured with blender pens and sponged.  I ‘fussy cut’ the pillows and shaped them using an embossing tool to give them a 3-D effect.  They were adhered using Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The sentiment is included in the stamp set.  I stamped the sentiment on a strip of scrap of Whisper White cardstock, trimmed it down and split it into two.  I then used the new Foam Adhesive Strips (not yet available) to give the sentiment a bit of pop.  These strips add even more dimension than the Stampin’ Dimensionals.

I will be featuring this card in a June Creative Class.

Technology Update

Things have not progressed as quickly as I would have like.  I am still trying to manage multiple email and internet but the situation is slowly improving.  iiNet, my new internet service provider had a major outage yesterday and I lost a large number of emails.  If I haven’t replied to your email, please resend.

Creative Class Update:

The Better Than Hallmark Creative Class scheduled for tomorrow morning has had to be postponed to the following week (27 May – same time and details) as I have to attend the funeral of a close friend’s mother.  I apologise for any inconvenience.
