Carols of Christmas Stamp Set by Stampin’ Up!

I always get a head start on my Christmas cards by celebrating Christmas in July with some card making. This year Stampin’ Up! have made it even easier by pre-releasing one Christmas bundle from the upcoming Holiday Catalogue (released 1 September 2017), the Carols of Christmas stamp set and Framelits.  This stamp set and bundle (which is 10% off) will be available from my online store from 1 August, just a couple of days away.

This was also one of my cards from my Christmas in July Creative Class last Sunday.  These classes are always booked out as my ladies like to make a start on their card making early.  It is a simple card but it was one of my favourites of the day.

Details of this Carols of Christmas Card

Experience required: Beginner+          Time Required: 1/2 hour

Card base: Crumb Cake 5-1/2″ x 8-1/4″ (AU)

Layers: Whisper White C/S 3-5/8″ x 5″; Crumb Cake C/S 3-1/2″ x 4-7/8″.  The Crumb Cake layer is stamped with the Sheet Music Background Stamp in Crumb Cake.

Tip: Ink up the stamp, lay the clear mount block onto your work surface, stamp side up.  Place your cardstock carefully on the stamp, right side down, and rub gently.  It is easier to place a scrap piece of paper over the cardstock and rub ensuring the image is fully stamped onto the cardstock.

Sentiment layers:  Crumb Cake C/S 2-1/2″ x 2-3/8″; Whisper White C/S 2-3/8″ x 2-1/4″ – sentiment layer is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Scrap Tranquil Tide and Whisper White C/S.  Die cut both tree images from Tranquil Tide C/S and randomly stamp wood pattern (Tranquil Tide ink) from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set. Stamp and die cut your DEER image in Crumb Cake.

The die cut of the two trees is adhered flat to the Crumb Cake layer, whilst the single tree die cut is adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals and Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals made adhering the tree and the deer super easy.

Don’t forget to add a clear star to your tree and decorate the inside of your card.
