Mini Accordion Album featuring Eastern Palace Suite

I am really excited to bring this project to you today as part of the May Global Stampers Challenge.  This month’s challenge was to feature the early release May exclusive Eastern Palace Bundles (Premier Bundle for the  avid crafter and Starter Bundle for the beginner crafter) in the new In-Colors.   I am not always in love with new In-colors when they are first released .  Sometimes it takes me time to fully appreciate their potential.  But not this time.

I have been wanting to create a mini accordion album for ages and as soon as I saw the Eastern Palace Designer Series Paper (DSP), I knew it was made for this project.  The paper is luscious, both colourful and exotic – rich bright colours including two with gold foil on heavy weight paper which made it perfect for this project.  And it includes two of the new In-Colors – Tranquil Tide and Lemon Lime Twist.  Every time I refer to that colour it reminds me of a tropical drink!

The Premier and Starter bundles of this suite will not be available after 31 May (once the new catalogue is released).  This is just a special release for May only, so don’t miss out.  What makes it so special? You also receive some bonus FREE goodies (Very Vanilla envelopes and notecards), not even released to demonstrators yet (other than if we order these bundles).  After May, the Eastern Palace Suite will be available in the new catalogue, but only as individual items.

Want to know more about this mini accordion album?

This album was created using only A4 cardstock as my demonstrator only pre-order has yet to arrive (SIGH).  It does not include a lot of stamping as I used the gorgeous coordinating Eastern Gold Vinyl Stickers.  This mini album would make a wonderful gift.  I intend to add some holiday snaps to give to a friend.  Or you can decorate it and keep it as a keepsake.  There are so many options.  There is space for six photos (approximately 5″ x 3-1/2″), more if  you leave off the large stamped sentiment.

The front cover motif was created using the Eastern Medallions Thinlits which have blown me away.  So many options so keep your eyes peeled for some upcoming posts.

I will be posting more information on how to create this album in the coming months.  I enjoyed creating it so much that it will be one of the optional classes at the Crafty Paper Bees Winter Craft Retreat at Brookfield 14-16 July 2017.   If you want to learn how to create your own mini accordion album, reserve your spot now.

Tomorrow I will be posting a short YouTube video so you can see just how special this mini album is.

All about the new In-Colors:

This month we say goodbye to the 2015-17 In-Colors of Watermelon Wonder (a favourite of mine), Cucumber Crush, Delightful Dijon, Mint Macaron (everyone’s favourite) and Tip Top Taupe. Five new on-trend In-Colors – Powder Pink, Lemon Lime Twist, Tranquil Tide, Berry Burst and Fresh Fig will be replacing them.  Don’t you just love the names of Stampin’ Up! colours.  You can download your bonus Stampin’ Up! 2017-19 In-Color Coordinating Chart here.

Want to learn how to  create your own mini accordion album?  Reserve your spot now at the Crafty Paper Bees Winter Craft Retreat.  Don’t forget to check back tomorrow for the cute video.   I will also be including a full product list so you can see this mini accordion album in its ‘full glory’.

Thanks Robbie. I am pretty ‘chuffed’ with how this turned out as well. Thanks for dropping by and leaving some feedback. It is always nice when someone takes the time to comment.

Ann beautiful work! I hope your winter retreat is a huge success. If I were not in the States, I certainly would be there.

Thanks for dropping by Alicia. I don’t make too many mini albums as I have to stop and think about them first and do a little bit of planning. But now I have worked out the measurements for this one, I will be whipping up some more.

Love the Mini Album. It looks fabulous in those luxurious colours. Let me know if you ever make a tutorial because it’s a little too far for me to travel for the class. xx

Thanks Fiona for your kind comments. After the retreat, I may do a tutorial. I do love this project myself. I can’t wait to share it with everyone.
