2017 has arrived with a bang and Stampin’ Up! will be celebrating the new year with a whole lot of new products – it is a case of out with the old and in with the new.  The 2017 Occasions Catalogue to be released on 4 January is ‘chock-a-block’ with new products – but will they included in my list of the top eight papercrafting gifts for 2017.

I still have some leftover money from Christmas, so I am looking at what craft items I will buy with my windfall.

As a demonstrator I am lucky because I receive a discount on all my Stampin’ Up! goodies.  So I have lots of cool crafting products to play with.  But if I was starting out, what cool products would I want to receive as a gift (I have left the basics out of this gift list)?

These are my top eight papercrafting gifts:

  1. Big Shot – a manual, multipurpose die-cutting system that you can use to quickly and easily create die-cut or embossed shapes, envelopes, tags, and 3D items.
  2. Brights Stamp Inks  – 10 full size quality ink pads in my favourite colours.
  3. Stampin’ Trimmer – the paper trimmer that all other paper trimmers want to be! Lightweight, portable, specially designed to make stable and straight cuts.
  4. Many Marvelous Markers – full set of all the Stampin’ Write Markers.  They can be used to colour in stamped images or to use instead of ink to colour your stamps.
  5. Watercolor Pencils – new to Stampin’ Up!, only released on 4 January 2017 – great for colouring both images and background, very versatile.

6. Dragonfly Dreams Bundle – Dragonflies are hot at the moment and this is a super cool stamp set and framelits bundle that is so versatile – available from 4 January.

7. Stitched Shapes Framelits Dies – faux stitch circles, squares, and ovals in seconds with Framelits dies and the Big Shot – sold out at the moment but will be back in stock in a couple of weeks.

8. Envelope Punch Board – an oldie but a goodie – can be used to make envelopes of course but also so much more.
