Crafty Paper Bees Team photo – a bit formal!

Crafty Paper Bees making a difference!

Twice a year, the Crafty Paper Bees (my team of demonstrators) support a worthy cause.  This year it was beyondblue.  There is always a lot of hard work involved in hosting a Charity Day – but then again, nothing that is that worthwhile is going to come easy.  In preparation, we cut, punched, sorted and die cut approximately 2100 ingredients for everyone’s kits. And everyone received detailed instructions on how to complete the projects which we had designed.   Overall we have estimated that there will be over 850 cards, gift tags and gift cards completed  – woohoo! Lots of people will be receiving handmade ‘happy mail’ this Christmas.

Charity Day update

We are still finalising the amount raised but it is expected to be about $1200, which makes it all  so worthwhile.  Big thanks to everyone who supported the day by purchasing a kit or raffle ticket, bringing morning tea, or making a donation.  Without your help, the Charity Day would not have been the success it was.  But my biggest thank you has to go to Astrid, Pam, Jennifer, Kellie, Jackie and Robyn for all their work and generosity in donating their time and commissions.  Thanks ladies – you are the ‘bestest’ team….   Also another big shout out to Stampin’ Up! Australia who generously supported the day as did the Salisbury Community Sports Club.    Without Stampin’ Up!, we wouldn’t have had so many fabulous prizes throughout the day.

And if this feedback is anything to go by, everyone enjoyed the day.  We certainly did.

Had the most amazing time ladies, thank you for all your efforts today.  Enjoyed every moment, cheers to you.

Well, ladies, it was another amazing day.  Keep up the good work, Dori and I enjoyed ourselves immensely.  Thank you for all your hard work.

Thanks to Ann and all the ladies, another great day crafting.

Loved the projects, can’t wait to use some of them as gifts at Christmas.

I will be posting details of the Santa’s Sleigh 3-D project later in the week.

Video of the Day

To celebrate the day, I have put together a quick video.  Just click on the photo below.

Busy at ‘work’ at the Charity Day – proudly supporting beyondblue

Couldn’t make it this year, we will be holding another fundraiser in March 2017.  Don’t miss out as they are so much fun and fundraising does make a difference in people’s lives.

If you are interested in joining the Crafty Paper Bees, it is so easy and you too could be making a difference in 2017.
