Can you guess what the secret ingredient is to make your own Go Wild Cat Treat bag?

How to turn Stampin’ Up!’s Go Wild Paper Stack into Cat Treat Bag

You have probably have guessed by now that I am an animal lover – I have two cats, both of whom regularly feature in my project photos.  These photo shoots of the boys are not planned mind you, but they do always want to be ‘part of the action’.

When I first saw this super cute project by Janet Wakeland, I was captivated and couldn’t wait to make one.  I know lots of my ladies love cats as well, so this was the project that I chose to demonstrate at the Crafty Paper Bees Charity Card Day.  Using the secret ingredient, a medium size envelope, this project becomes so quick and easy.  And I love the adorable bow in contrasting DSP created by the bow builder punch.

Adhere down flap of your Medium Crumb Cake envelope in the usual way. Using your Paper Trimmer, slice off the very top of your envelope (from the portrait position) – approximately 1 mm or 1/16″.

Adhere the strip of Go Wild DSP 3″ x 4-3/8″ to bottom of envelope. Wrap 20″ of the dotted lace around the envelope hiding the top of the DSP, and tie a half knot (only half to keep the knot flat). Adhere in place with Glue Dots. Trim ends.

Punch out from a coordinating piece of Go Wild DSP and assemble your two sets to create the Bow Builder Punch bow, making sure that your tails are hanging ‘down’ as pictured. See Stampin’ Up! YouTube channel for video on how to punch and assemble bow. Adhere bow onto knot using Glue Dots (I used some Multipurpose glue as well).  Adhere matching button to centre of bow and then add a Baker’s Twine bow (Glue Dots) on top to finish embellishing.
Punch out two Basic Black 3/4″ circles and two Whisper White 1/2″ circles for the eyes. Assemble as pictured and then add a Black Candy Dot to each eye. Cut a Basic Black cardstock triangle for the nose and adhere. Hand draw whiskers. Hint: Draw centre whisker on each side of nose first and then add top and bottom whiskers.  Cut another 1-1/2″ square from the same DSP as the cat body. Cut the square from point to point diagonally to form the ears. Adhere the ears (Snail) on the front inside of the envelope.
